Sun Worship Safely

Oh you silly sun worshipers… When, when, when will you ever learn? If the skin cancer scare wasn’t enough think about what the sun can do to your eyes.

He Sells Seashells By The Seashore

And you better believe he’s wearing his mens aviators. Hopefully he also threw his sunscreen in the car along with him before he left. Driving in the car isn’t necessarily a problem because car windows usually block UV rays. But once you’re on the beach… Look out! Spending your days worshipping the sun doesn’t mean that you have to look like a dried out leather prune by the time you’re 30. It also doesn’t have to mean that you’ve gone blind from all the sunlight shining directly into your eyes, unabated.

What To Look For In A Pair Of Sunglasses

Here are some suggestions for sun worshipers: 1) lenses colored gray lower the intensity of light but won’t change the colors of the things around you—it’s all about UV absorption; 2) check your glasses for any imperfections such as those resulting in distortion—both lenses should be the exact same color; 3) you still need UV eye protection if you wear UV protective contacts.

You don’t have to spend a fortune to make sure that your eyes are completely protected, either.
